[wplug] SNMP Manager

Thanks, I have been using What's Up Gold on a Windows system and at
times get some strange info. As an example if I view a portion of a
tree, the last parameter is consistently reported with the value of one
of the other parameters at that level for about 10 seconds and then it
switches to the correct value. I don't know if this is my system's
client or the MIB browser, so I wanted to try another product. I have
been fiddling around with iReasoning (Windows) today. It is a simpler
tool but has some trap limitations and data formatting problems. I
will try your suggestions this afternoon. Thanks again.

After using SNMP for 10 years, I would suggest something like HFUX
OpenView.

You'll spend as much time dealing with the devil as you will playing
with Cacti, Net-SNMP, MRTG, routers2, Smokeping, etc.

If I had to do it over again, I'd go with a commercial product here.
