Hey List,

I would like to announce the Pittsburgh Mapping Party taking place
this weekend at a Panera in Oakland. Before I copy and paste the
party line, i would like to add that i went to a mapping party in
Toronto after the Ontario Linux Fest, and it was alot of fun. If
you're into geeking around with random technology, and who isn't, then
you'll love a mapping party. So without further ado:

(From Richard Weait, community organizer for OpenStreetMap.com and
organizer for the Ontario Linux Fest)
Saturday 10am to 5pm
and
Sunday 10am to 5pm

Please RSVP http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/1289385

Panera Bread
3401 Blvd of the Allies
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Mapping parties are events where anyone can come along and join in
improving the free world map of everything. We show you how to collect
data (survey) and get the data in to OpenStreetMap. Once you put the data
in to OpenStreetMap you or anybody around the world, can use the map in
interesting and creative ways.

We have an event coming up in Pittsburgh on Saturday and Sunday November
15 - 16, 2008. They are informal events with no explicit time commitment
and often a social element / beer afterward. You should join us.

Bring your GPS and laptop to participate fully, or borrow a GPS from us.
We'll have a few to loan.

It's fun. It's Free. You can help.

Cheers,
Yaakov
