More of a "general purpose" solution, but you could take a look at FreeNAS:

If you have an extra box (or a virtual one), this will turn it into a
file-sharing hub that knows several different protocols. I've got it
set up on my home network and it does pretty well hosting files in a
mixed *nix/Windows environment.
