Core Duo's are dual-core.

Here's the breakdown on the Intel line:
Does it say duo? It's dual-core
Does it say solo? It's single core
Does it have the number 2? If yes, 64bit.  If no, 32bit.

So:
Core Duo = 32bit, dual
Core Solo = 32bit, single
Core 2 Duo = 64bit, dual
Core 2 Solo = 64bit, single
