I've had FIOS for two years and Verizon DSL since 2000 (with a short
and VERY unfortunate experience with Comcast thrown in) and I couldn't
disagree more with this sentiment. My connection has been rock solid,
service from Verizon has been excellent. I can't ask for much more.

copper. They plan to basically abandon it and let some other carrier
support the expensive antiquated infrastructure.
