[wplug] Hard drive recovery

This is going to sound really, really weird:

I have NOT tried it personally, but a girlfriend has - and it indeed did 
work, after a fashion. The drive died again about three hours later, but 
it at least allowed her to get the most important stuff off the drive.

I guess it falls into the "well, it's broke anyway, what can it hurt" 
category :)
