When I got Verizon (just realized I still have the wireless router/modem
they gave me) they came five days after they were supposed to. If you
have one of their modem-routers and can't get it to work right try going
to [routerIP]/verizon/redirect.htm which is where in mine a file was
located with a switch I had to throw to stop it from redirecting me. If
you get a non-wireless router and want mine (or if anyone wants mine)
see my signature to contact me.
