[wplug] Core duos?

I have recently installed SUSE 10.3, Fedora 8, and
Ubuntu 7.10 on dual and quad core systems. All three
recognized the multiple cores without intervention
from me.

Earlier distros often required selection of an SMP
kernel, but SMP is no longer treated as a rare or
unusual condition. It is difficult to purchase a
uniprocessor today. I must disagree with Matthew; the
core duo is an SMP system since it has two processor
cores. When you look at /proc/cpuinfo, you'll see two
processors.
