I have used the latest release of NVU; it is functional though very
poor in my opinion. Kompozer (the unofficial bug fix for NVU) is
somewhat better. Both editors have the major disadvantage that they
do not allow the user to create HTML snips for use in PHP or ASP
pages, or as static includes. If you add some HTML to an empty text
file then save, the application automatically creates
<HTML><HEAD><BODY> tags.
There is BlueFish, but the last stable release is from 10/2006 and is
not available for Windows. I have not used Amaya for several years, I
will have to give it another try.
