In my experience KDENLIVE works, but is pretty unstable. I found that it
enjoyed crashing quite a bit. The features of it are pretty basic, nothing
to write home about. I found it be far behind the capabilities of both
Windows Movie Maker and iMovie.
However, it wasn't difficult to get it up and running and redub some audio,
add in a slide show, and then master to a DVD.
