[wplug] Audio/Video Editing Software

Hi folkses,

I'm wondering whether any of you might have some suggestions for A/V
editing software.  I'm running Ubuntu Edgy, so apps from their stable
would be high on the list.  Here's what I'd like to do:

1) Extract about five minutes of unencrypted DVD content to some
convenient format.
2) Strip the audio that came with the original programming.
3) Lay down my own audio track.
4) Burn the whole shebang back to DVD.

Yes, the source material is all copyrighted, every microsecond of it,
but if a few folks wanted to see the finished product, maybe something
could be arranged.
