[wplug] Verizon FIOS experience with Linux?

I have both Verizon DSL and Verizon FIOS, both through Nidhog and have  
not had this problem on either.  I am very happy with the service.   
(The DSL is fixed IP and I have some servers on it - Nidhog routes me  
a block of IPs).
