[wplug] Switching from Ubuntu to Kubuntu

Here's the thing -- I did:

sudo find /etc -exec grep gnome-panel {} \;

and found almost nothing. I can't tell who's telling the gnome panel to
start up. I'd prefer to leave them both, but deactivate gnome. As it is,
if I 'ps aux | grep gnome-panel' and then kill them, that works, but its a
hassle.

Anyone have any ideas?
