[wplug] Linux laptops

My apologies for my general chide against Thinkpads, but years of dealing with their issues
(including under even NT/Win through NT 5.1/XP/2003) has caused my clients countless hours of issues.
This continues through the latest Thinkpads as well, and their off-shoot designs away from Intel reference.
Especially when it comes to the continued firmware and the total non-support of BIOS Interrupt 13h Disk Services.
Most of the time, Linux works around them, but early in 2.6, there was an issue when used with GNU Parted/GRUB that defaulted to full, standards compliance.

If you are willing to load Linux yourself, you may want to check out
http://www.tigerdirect.com. I have purchased several off-lease, refurbished
Lenovo/IBM laptops in recent years with good results. Most recently, I bought a
IBM T30 which has run both Fedora 6 and Ubuntu 6.10 well.
