I am not sure what you can do with the linux clients.  If your network 
is configured for domain logins, on the Win2000 clients you might want 
to try logging the guest accounts onto the machine itself rather than 
the domain.  I am currently running a heterogenous network with a linux 
server and Win95/Win2000 clients.  The Win95 clients (being phased out) 
logon to the workgroup while the Win2000 logon to the domain (both are 
named WORKGROUP).  Depending on the user, access to network resorces can 
be very different.
