I also tried passdb backend = guest Samba would not start and complained about no such database as guest. I've spent many hours now going through the documentation at samba.org. I'm not familiar with Samba 3.0 but I have a feeling I'll know lots by the time I get this guest stuff working. Can anyone offer advice on the guest backend?
