The Western Pennsylvania Linux Users Group will have a member meeting
and lightning talks this Saturday -- January 13th, 2007 -- from 10am
until about 2pm on the Campus of Carnegie Mellon University, Newell
Simon Hall room 3002. This meeting is free and open to the public.
Here's a rough schedule of the day:

10am - Doors open and Membership Meeting Starts shortly
11am - Lightning Talks
12pm - 2pm - Pizza and socialization
2pm - Everything cleaned up and everyone out

As of right now the vote for the bylaw changes discussed at the October
meeting will take place on the March 10th meeting. Members are
requested to arrive no later than 10:10am in order to promptly finish
the membership meeting by 11am.

We invite all those interested regardless of skill level to attend this
meeting and talks. There is no need to stay the entire time. The
lightning talks are short talks, approximately 15-20 minutes, on a
variety of topics. We even have time for shorter impromptu talks on
topics if people are interested. Right now well have talks on Emacs and
VI, so if you're wondering what these "Editor wars" are all about, come
and get a nice overview of the two major editors for Linux.

More information on the meeting, an agenda, and information on the
lightning talks can be found at:

Thank you!

Patrick Wagstrom
Western Pennsylvania Linux Users Group Chair
