I've used pptpd on a Linux server for Windows clients to connect to.
It worked well.

pptp came with my distro as well as openvpn and openswan.

See if your distro includes it because it my include some sample configs.

BTW - I use OpenSuSE 10.1 (soon to be 10.2)
