I'm confused about why this was posted. In general, unless you have a
very good reason to, you should NOT be using the linux-wlan drivers
anymore. They're old and they don't follow the standard wireless
extensions, meaning that your favorite tools like NetworkManager will
have some problems working with them.
The original Linux-Wlan was a very good start at getting wireless
support into the kernel, but now most cards can be built right from the
kernel tree...atheros chipsets being the major exception - but that's
what madwifi-ng is for. The only common card that linux-wlan supports
is the prism2, but the drivers in the tree work much better.
Just my thoughts on the subject.
