[wplug] lvcreate stuck creating snapshot lvm2

Anybody know how to kill a hung lvcreate (waiting for I/O)?

I was trying to create a snapshot of /dev/vm/lva1 (10GB) like so:

lvcreate -L200 -s -n lva1Snapshot /dev/vm/lva1

ps ax shows:

23522 pts/2 D<L+ 0:00 lvcreate -L200 -s -n lva1SNAP /dev/vm/lva1

All other operations on that VG I've attempted hang (but do respond to Ctl-c
or kill)

system details:
lvm 2.02
linux kernel 2.6.19

I have several other LVs on this VG - a server reboot would be disruptive,
plus I fear that the lvcreate will just resume at next boot. I'm quite
envious of HP-UX admins atm, looks like they can set a timeout on lv
operations.

Any ideas?

thx
eli
