We generally say "don't bother with 64bit unless you need to". It just
adds extra complication.
I don't know what sort of games you're talking about, but I don't think
I'm so out of touch that I'd be wrong saying there basically isn't
anything requiring 64bit yet.
If you're running 64bit when you don't need to, you'll typically see
less good performance than if you run 32bit on the same hardware.
YMMV and it's all dependent on how the software you care about is
written built; this whole post was a massive generalisation.
