I had problems like this. Turns out that I usually can't have Firefox
and Rhythmbox open at the same time, if I want to hear audio with
YouTube videos. If I close both apps and reopen Firefox, then I have
no troubles with YouTube. (This is under Flash 7; don't know about 9.)
