[wplug] mailman & postfix troubles

I'm trying to set up mailman and postfix.  Whenever I try to sent to either
the list address or the list-request address I get the following:

... while talking to mail1.xxxxx.xxx.:
>>> DATA
<<< 553 5.0.0 Invalid Users
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable
