I don't see this as a big issue. F/OSS has tackled bigger problems
(GCC?). To implement revision control with OO docs, the following would
have to happen:
- Pre- and Post- hooks before commits / diff's to decompress to a buffer
- A preformatted, cleartext may to illustrate diff's in $SVN_EDITOR
- A way to store load XML diff meta-data into OO for visual revision
