Yeah, for some reason the Harley crowd is particularly fond of loud bikes. I
don't really understand the attraction. There ARE noise regulations, but for
some reason they're not frequently enforced.

Some bikers feel that the loud exhaust noise makes them more noticeable to
drivers. There may be some validity to that point, but I think it ranks up
there with the "helmet obscures my vision" argument (BS). When you're on a
bike you just have to assume that you're invisible.
