Hello all,
I have never been very satisfied with Verizon (voice, DSL, wireless), so
I thought I'd share my (almost) Verizon-free setup.
I use Speakeasy OneLink, no voice line required. The loop is managed by
Covad. My plan specs 1.5Mbps/384kbps, and I normally get
~1.1Mbps/~290kbps which isn't too bad factoring in protocol overhead.
The service is more expensive than others, but I have 2 static IPs and
Speakeasy's customer service is very good (typically you get a
knowledgeable technician on the first email/call).
