Welcome to linux.

There are lots of howtos and guides available that walk you through
both basics and advanced steps of just about anything you want to set
up (try searching for specifics).  There are even some books that
might be helpful.  Your request is a bit broad for mailing list help.

This list would probably be most helpful to you if you hit a specific
snag, or want to know how exactly to get something done.  That is
something we could sink our teeth into and try to figure it out /
share our experience.
