First for some setup info...

I have setup IMAP on my external server (open to internet -
gentgeen.homelinux.org) and use fetchmail/procmail to grab all my email
from work, which uses a POP3 account. Great setup, now can get to all
my mail no matter what machine I am at/where I am in the world.

I also have spamassassin/clamassassin/procmail/fetchmail/etc all working
on my internal box (not open to internet) and this one takes care of all
my personal mail (i.e. it grabs mail for this email account, my wifes,
my kids, etc). The internal box uses POP3 accounts to pass the mail
back out to the "user".

I want to keep that general setup the way it is. I don't want to change
any of the above.

What I do want to do is to start passing my work email through
spamassassin also. What I am wondering is do I have to set-up
spamassassin on the external machine as well, or can I pass it though
the internal machines spamassassin while still keeping all the mail on
the IMAP server. (Kind of like how you can have 1 machine in a network
as the database server, and any other machine that needs access to a
database can use that 1st machine)
