Hmmm-Pittsburgh Job Market...
If you are offered a job, then the market is good.
If you are looking for a job....the market could be good.
Look at www.pghtech.org for a feel.
In my opinion.....I think there are a lot of jobs available, but there
are many more people to fill those jobs (3 major universities and
several smaller univ) so the employers are very picky in their
selections. Also, you should probably have at a minimum a 4 year degree
to have any chance at a great paying job. If you can back up that degree
with significant experience, then you could very well be golden. But be
aware, Pittsburgh companies like to hire contract workers for short
periods of time. This applies to all skill levels.

During 2001 - 2002 I was in Pittsburgh when the job market was not so
good all around.  I've been contacted for a potential position in the
Pittsburgh area and I was wondering what people felt about the general
market in Pittsburgh now.
