back in '81, I worked on a curious little HP machine.

It was portable, had a keyboard and a tiny screen and
a cartridge tape drive, all in one unit. About the
size and weight of the electric typewriters which were
common in those days. Had a thermal printer too. I did
some cool graphics just for fun, including a little
animation of a coin being tossed in the air.

in '82, I worked on a Kaypro 10, one of the first
portable computers, about the size of a sewing
machine,
the keyboard latched on to the computer, the screen
was maybe 5 or 7" diagonal, and it had, wonder of
wonders, a 10 megabyte hard disk drive. don't laugh,
it was hot stuff back then, we couldn't keep enough
in stock.
