That machine was already an antique in 1983. Our S/230 had 768K of 
semiconductor memory and our two washing-machine-sized hard drives held 
around 250Mb each, if I remember correctly. We replaced it with the 
MV/10000 (which had 4Mb of memory and a 32-bit CPU) in 1984. It cost 
about $100K, so even the S/230 had to be pretty old, to justify that 
kind of expenditure.
