sorry steve, all I can say is that it is very possible and not too
tricky, but I don't have any other details.

However, I wanted to throw my hat into the questions box.  I've been
meaning to replace some ugly wiring and snag a PC wireless card.

Any suggestions for a good, cheap PC (PCI) 802.11b/g card?  I'm not
sure it matters, but it's for the verizon Westell DSL router/modem and
a Debian box.
