usually, X will restart soon.

I think it leaves you at terminal 7.  Basically, you can log into
other terminals when you have to give X the three key salute by
switching via Alt-F1 (through F6).  I'm pretty sure these ttys are
available by default on FC3.  F7 and greater are usually (read by
default in most distros) used for graphical displays.

Alternatively, you can switch to these at any time.  From X, you need
to use CTRL as well (CTRL-ALT-F1) and you can switch back to graphical
with (ALT-F7).
