[wplug] strange sound/mouse issues

Hi all,

I'm having some problems with a strange 'clipping' (almost like static) 
sound when using a USB mouse while playing something through XMMS.  It 
doesn't seem to make the sound unless you're playing something.  Using the 
laptop's touch pad doesn't produce the problem.  The other issue I've been 
trying to work through is getting the scroll wheel working.  I've tried 
adding

Option		"Buttons" "5"
Option		"ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

below the other options in this section:

Section "InputDevice"

Identifier	"Mouse"
Driver		"mouse"
Option		"Protocol" "auto"
Option		"Device" "/dev/psaux"

EndSection

to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf to no avail.  Any ideas?

I'm running Gentoo on a Sony Vaio T140.  Thanks
