The part that's going to get all sorts of interesting when a case
comes into court is that it's legal to do anything that you have good
reason to believe the owner was okay with you doing.
I wouldn't be entirely shocked if someone tried to argue "Well he
didn't close the network down, so I assumed that meant he wanted it
openly available!" I don't think that approach would actually get you
very far, but I won't be surprised if someone tries it.
