Sometime in March Poyner, Brandon assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| Have you considered moving to LDAP?

This is where my knowledge sort of runs up against a wall. How would ldap
work in this case? Say I want to make /etc/auto.misc from a fileserver
available to workstations. How would autofs on a workstation know to look
at an ldap server to get the that file (/etc/auto.misc)? I didn't see a
service specification for ldap in the man page for nsswitch.conf. So would
autofs have to have some sort of built in support for ldap?
