Hello,

I am not able to get my grub bootloader back after my
windows reinstall in my dual boot (XP and FC3). I had
formatted the windows partition before installing the
new XP. I tried mounting linux through a rescue disk.
It showed an error message that the linux could not be
run properly but that some of the files have been
mounted in /mnt/sysimage and gave me a shell prompt. I
tried chroot /mnt/sysimage and grub-install /dev/hda.
But it showed that such device do not exist and did
not do much. I did a fdisk -l and it gave me the
following. Looking at that I was wondering if my
partition table is fine or not. Any help to solve this
problem woul tbe highly appreciated.

Output of fdisk -l:

/dev/hda1 * 1 1912 15358108+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 1913 2432 4176900 e w95 LBA
/dev/hda3 2433 2445 104422+ 83 linux
/dev/hda4 2446 4864 19430617+ f W95 (Extd) LBA
/dev/hda5 2446 3210 6144831 83 Linux
/dev/hda6 3211 3341 1052226 82 Linux
/dev/hda7 3342 4864 12233466 83 Linux

I tried googling a lot but could not find any simple
method to get my boot loader back, may be because I do
not have much idea of these partition table and stuff
like that.

With best regards,
Dileep
