Stuff to ponder while waiting for the image...

What would be really interesting would be a bittorrent-like application
what allowed a user to provide an initial image and would only transmit
deltas.

Instead of only passing on what's been pulled from upstream, you could
pass on what's been verified from upstream.

Of course the next step is to find an rsync-friendly compression format.
You'd have to make your compressor reset its dictionary periodically so
that changes to the beginning wouldn't flow through the entire archive,
or do something even more clever.

Or blame the vendor -- there's a neat Debian tool that will roll
packages (many of which you'll already have locally from recent
installation/upgrade) into an ISO along with a few tools necessary for
an installation CD. Demand similar coolness from Red Hat!

Or, you could implode! (bonus points to anyone who'll admit to getting
the reference...)
