[wplug] debian install question

Sometime in January Eric C. Cooper assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| MachineB % dpkg --get-selections > foo
| MachineB % scp foo MachineA:
|
| (At this point you might want to use a text editor on foo to remove
| anything that you don't actually want on A.)
|
| MachineA # dpkg --set-selections < foo
| MachineA # apt-get upgrade

Ok, I tried this but foo doesn't seem to contain any of the packages I
added after the initial install. For example it has kvim which I replaced
with vim-gtk. Is it possible to update the selections?
