I've been there before, and I tell you that's _NOT_ what's happening.

Back when CD burning was very new, a client of mine purchased a SCSI
CD burner for me to use when I worked from home.  Back then, CD blanks
were about $1 each, and the failure rate was about 25% on average.

But this isn't what's happening here!  The failure rate is 100% and
0% simultaenously.  ALL DVDs burned work perfectly in the drive that
they were burned from (and we've tried 2 different brands) but 0%
work in any other DVD burner/reader I can find.
