[wplug] esd on gnome

Sometime in February Drew from Zhrodague assaulted the keyboard and produced:

|     Could prolly setup the mixer to mute the offending channels at boot
| time. I had a similar problem while using MythTV (which is phenominal, btw).

It seems as though esd is sending out sound through the pcm channel.

It's an integrated via soundcard thing. The module, via82cxxx_audio, is
what is being used.
