Wow, that's a regular sociology study right there. Wealthy shadyside is
packed with free Wi-Fi, but in the Hill District there's nary a one. Not
too surprising as a whole, but I'm surprised the disparity is so absolute.

Is it known whether the map there is "intentionally free" hotspots only,
or does it also include private but unsecured access points? First
impressions from pghwireless.net suggest that it's the former (hotspots
added to a database by their owners). But there are a lot more than 120
spots on that map, contrary to what the article suggests ("only a handful"
of the 200+ locations that offer WiFi offer it for free, according to the
article)

Also, the Post-Gazette links mistakenly to pghwireless.com, where the
correct link is pghwireless.net.
