Also, somewhere in your camera's menu system there's almost
certainly an option to format the card.  I prefer using this to
trying to create a filesystem from Linux since you never know
what special magic the camera might want in the filesystem.
Plus, it's easier than trying to remember the correct syntax for
mkfs.
