After reading a package of apple-flavored cookies marked with an
expiration date of 29 FEB 2006:

"The computer scientist in me wants to know if the comparison to a
 (currently) non-existent date should:
  * always fail (Cookies are stale now),
  * always succeed (Cookies will never get stale)
  * throw an exception (Cookies should not exist in this universe)"
