I'm not a paid programmer or analyst yet. But.

I know that some of these types of programs can be quite frustrating while
others are very rewarding. I found out that not this Certificate, but the
one on Computer Programming by iCarnegie is no longer being offered. Lack of
attendance was the reason. I've considered this type of route, and after
asking some questions like, "Who owns the curriculum?" and "How many people
have completed this program?", I found that some programs will or will not
build into an Associates Degree and/or transfer directly into a University
program. Some did, some didn't. Some programs give you credit from other
schools including CCAC. Some didn't.

Find out if this builds into anything else like a B.S. in comp./info sci.

Disclaimer: I apologize that this request is not specific to WPLUG or Linux
but my access to local experts is limited. I believe many of you may have
the answers to these questions...

Greetings, good people,

I was wondering if any of you folks had an opinion on county certificate
programs such as the one referenced below.

I have a pipe dream of becoming a salaried software developer but as a new
father and husband my options are limited...
