Actually, if you're replacing the fan, consider spending a little more to
get a *silent* fan. There's a whole niche industry providing low-noise
computer components and I never paid much attention until I needed a new
CPU fan and decided to get a silent one for kicks (it was only $15).
Major quality of life improvement. I'm doing the power supply next, but
that's a little bit more pricey (~$80). With that, and with an upgrade to
a single, new HDD to replace my two old ones, the box will be almost
completely silent.
