I just installed RHEL3U3 and it was transparent - as long as the
storage was presenting the LUN the install was seamless. Be sure that
you have the device enumeration set in the BIOS to call the storage
controller first, and then when installing FC3 go to the advanced
bootloader options and look for the device enumeration part and make
sure it's the same (at least that is what I did in RHEL). FC3 may
differ, but I'm guessing not by much.
Also - if you plan on multi-pathing, it's suggested to only have
the one path present during install. I did not do this and had to go
into rescue mode and re-run GRUB, but in the end it worked out fine.
I have an IBM doc I can share on the subject, but it's somewhat
centric to IBM Blades & the DS400 (but does talk about building an
initrd, so the concepts are there).

Not sure what your asking, but we pretty much always use raw
devices for Oracle.

Unfortunately - about 2 weeks ago I threw away a CD of docs I
got from Veritas - but I can assure you they have a ton of info on-line.

Good luck -
Don
