[wplug] Tracking directory sizes

Does anyone know of a good program for checking the sizes of directories
and subdirectories?  du gives me everything at once, I rembember reading
in the man file that there should be a way to get it to give only the top
level, but I also rembember it not working for me.

At home, I've been using a program called FSV that shows the tree size in
OpenGL, but it has issues on my laptop and the GLX setup.

Anyone know how to get du to just give me the size of all the directories
from wherever I'm starting without displaying the individual sizes of
every subdirectory, or of another good program to do the same?
