Sometime in October Weber, Larry A assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| I am trying to configure a network printer on my RedHat 8.0 PC from KDE. As
| Root when I select System Setting - Printing, I see a window open titled Red
| Hat Printer Configure. This window immediately closes. Any idea why this
| is happening? Is there another way to configure a network printer from KDE?
| No printers were installed during the original OS installation.

Try running the following as root:

redhat-config-printer-tui

This will call the config program in text mode.
