[wplug] pscp anomaly

Firstly, this is my first post to this list, and I'd be grateful for any constructive feedback as to its content, format, or tone.

I am trying to use pscp to retrieve some data from a Linux server. I am running it on a Windows 2000 machine. Following is the directory structure on the Linux server:

/home
    /vmware (folder)
        /virtualmachine1 (folder)
virtualmachine1.vmx (these are the files I am after)
        /virtualmachine2 (folder)
            virtualmachine2.vmx
        etc.

I want to retrieve all of the .vmx files in all the folders underneath the /home/vmware folder.

Here is the command line I am using:
pscp.exe -p -q -r -batch -pw ******** -unsafe esxbackup at sgofesx01:/home/vmware/*/*vmx d:\VmxFiles\SGOFESX01

Here is the rub: This works wonderfully on my Windows 2000 Pro desktop. But on a Windows 2000 Server (where I really want to run it on a scheduled basis), I get the following error:

/home/vmware/*/*vmx: multiple-level wildcards unsupported

Both Windows 2000 machines have WinSCP 3.6.8.245 installed. I ran putty on both machines so I could answer the first-time message about the key. The version of pscp is 0.55 on both machines.
Is it possible that pscp is written by design to have this different behavior on a 'Server' as opposed to a 'workstation'?
I'm hoping I'm just overlooking something, which is highly likely, given my Linux amateur status.

Thanks for any help,
Doug Crist
